Whether drivers are simply interested in feeling safer on the road or they're worried about the harsh winter weather they will face, more people than ever before are choosing all-wheel drive-equipped Ford vehicles. In 2012, over 20 percent of cars and SUVs sold in the U.S. featured all-wheel drive systems, which represents an increase of 53 percent since 2009. As far as the Ford brand is concerned, it saw even larger increases of 72 percent since 2009.

Back in 2008, Ford introduced the 2009 Ford Flex, a funky and functional family hauler with an extensive list of tech features and comfort amenities. It first struck critics and drivers as the most daringly designed vehicle to come from Ford in quite some time, and it's continued to impress nearly everybody with not just its design prowess, but it's comfortable driving capabilities, and versatile, feature-filled cabin.
