Ford Infuses Smarter Technology in the New Escape

Ford is referring to the 2013 Ford Escape as "The smarter way to get there."1 With an all-new exterior design, class-exclusive hands-free liftgate, EcoBoost engine options, MyFord Touch and SYNC technology and the all-new Intelligent 4WD System, Keller Bros Ford Lebanon is sure that you'll take one look at the new Escape and know why it's so much smarter than any previous iterations. Of course, those are the major changes, but you can bet that Ford spent countless hours tweaking things you may not even notice to ensure that you'll enjoy every minute you spend in the Escape.
One of the innovations Ford implemented this year are their elliptical acoustic side mirrors. The purpose of the satellite-dish shaped mirrors is to reduce wind noise for a quieter ride. According to USA Today, "The mirror identifies 'hot spots' where noise penetrates the interior of the vehicle, allowing drivers to listen to music or conversation inside the car instead of external noises."2
This isn't brand-new technology, as many European automakers have implement similar technology. But it is new for Ford, and the 2013 Escape is being displayed at auto shows throughout the year as the vehicle that Ford is showcasing all of their latest technology on. And yes, when the new Escape rolls into Keller Bros Ford, it will feature the new mirrors as well as a whole suite of new and exciting technology, standard.
As usual, Ford continues to work to make features that are generally thought of as luxury-exclusive available for everybody.
