Ford UK is working on advanced WiFi and GPS systems, which will one day allow cars to communicate with other vehicles on roads. This could help warn of, or prevent accidents.  

Ford Motor Co. is demonstrating the technology before The Washington Auto Show. The system sends out multiple messages per second about a vehicle's location, speed, braking and steering. Ford's been working on "intelligent vehicles" for 10 years.
